Reported that the driver that killed Jennifer Herschkowitz, of Brooklyn, N.Y., as she crossed the street was not speeding and not at fault.  According to police, Jennifer was legally drunk when she wandered into the street.  No charges were filed against the driver.

Reported that Quinnipiac University is ending with "May Weekend," the school-sponsored event is held each spring before the last week of classes. However this year the events were marred by tragedy. Freshman Jennifer Herschkowitz was hit and killed by a car on Whitney Avenue, and a sexual assault was reported in a dorm.  Although the school sponsored events that were alcohol-free, many students the continued unauthorized parties when the official party ended.   "People think of may weekend as a big time to drink," according to a student.
