Lewis died of drug and alcohol overdose in his dorm room, mixing a fatal dose of heroin and cocaine with alcohol. Seven individuals, including four UGA students, were charged in connection to the investigation into his death. (One of the students arrested in connection with Lewis' tragedy was arrested again after his graduation in the incident reported in the above article of 11/22/09.)
