Patrick went to a house party with his fraternity brothers. He was later found in the middle of the road, near the house where he had gone with his friends. His blood alcohol level was about twice the legal limit for a 21-year old. Patrick had been hit by a car. According to the driver, Patrick was lying in the road at the time he was struck.
