Reported that Lindsey Plank, 23, Richard Putze, 22, and Daniel Myers, 22, died in n an early morning crash sticking a tree.

Alcohol, speed cited in Midvale crash

Reported that alcohol and speed were "significant contributing factors" to the crash that killed the three UW-Madison students. Driver Richard Putze, who was one of the three who died,  had a blood alcohol content of 0.144, almost two times the legal limit of 0.08 in Wisconsin.

Reports that in reaction to the tragic deaths of the three students, UW music professor Todd Wellbourne is calling for change, primarily a change of attitude.
