Reported that Florida Gulf Coast University freshman Devin Lurain was found  by his roommate unresponsive.  Although the roommate called 911, Devin was dead when paramedics arrived.  Devin was the second freshman casualty during the year. Mary Grace Taaffe, 18, died in an alcohol-related crash off-campus on Aug. 31.

Reported on the death of Devin Lurain and noted that no foul play was involved, there were no signs of violence, and it wasn’t a suicide.

Reported that Devin Lurain died in his dorm room l drinking too much alcohol, according to the medical examiner. His blood alcohol content was  0.376, and also had traces of marijuana.
